'Each Day, as if It Were Your Last' marks a striking new chapter for Pallette and a complete departure from his Past Inside the Present debut, 'Pathways'.

Released in November 2020, Pathways emerged from an introspective period in Alexander Carlo Buckley’s life, presenting four lovely loop-based compositions shaped by hypnotic, consonant arrangements, fleeting melodies, and a patient sense of ebb and flow. Each Day, as if It Were Your Last moves beyond those meditative foundations, expanding Pallette’s sound into something more rhythmic, colorful, and wide-ranging.

Moving fluidly through electronica, synthwave, lo-fi, and ambient music, the album is at once propulsive and dreamlike. Beats drift beneath hazy synthesizers, softened textures, and melodies that feel pulled from somewhere just beyond memory. A deep sense of nostalgia runs throughout, worn gently at the edges like a photograph faded by years of sunlight or a half-remembered place unexpectedly resurfacing.

Buckley balances dreamscape and groove, allowing melancholy and glee to exist side by side. Moments of weightlessness give way to rhythmic momentum before dissolving again into blurred ambience and sepia-toned reverie. The result is a journey through sound and memory, familiar yet difficult to place, capturing the strange beauty of looking backward while continuing to move forward.
