Observations is a collaborative ambient/drone/experimental album by Brad Rose and Carlos Ferreira, consisting of two immersive longform improvisational pieces. Rooted in process and intuition, the album unfolds as a slow-burning dialogue between Brad’s layered electronics—built from synths, processed samples, and granular textures—and Carlos’s guitar work, which weaves shifting harmonic drones and delicate tonal fragments.

The record embraces an open-ended compositional approach, drawing inspiration from the hypnotic minimalism of Terry Riley and the exploratory early works of Tangerine Dream. Across its duration, Observations explores states of suspended time, creating a sense of spatial drift and sonic introspection. Rather than imposing a fixed narrative, the album invites attentive listening—rewarding those who surrender to its unfolding landscapes.

About Brad Rose:
Brad Rose is a multidisciplinary artist based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, working across sound, visual art, and writing. His work listens to relics of place and ecological change, weaving sonic and material traces into spaces for ritual, reflection, and collective dreaming. Shaped by Oklahoma’s shifting landscapes, his practice invites shared authorship and speculative storytelling. He is the founder of Foxy Digitalis, co-founder of The Bird House micro-gallery, a 2024–25 Fellow at the Oklahoma Center for the Humanities, and a MAP Fund grantee. Across two decades, his projects have built bridges between grief, imagination, and the landscapes we carry forward.

About Carlos Ferreira:
Carlos Ferreira is a Brazilian experimental guitarist and composer whose work investigates the act of listening as a poetic and political gesture. Through immersive soundscapes built from processed guitar, field recordings, and subtle electronic textures, Ferreira explores the interplay between sound, space, time, and memory. He is an artist affiliated with labels such as Past Inside the Present (USA), Modern Obscure Music (Spain), and AKP Recordings (USA), and has released music on a wide range of international imprints, including ARCHIVES, Avantroots Records (Spain), 梅レコード / Umé Records, Beatless Tapes (Japan), Atlantic Rhythms, Aural Canyon, Mystery Circles, Histamine Tapes (USA), and Giraffe Tapes (Georgia), among others. Carlos has created exclusive live sets for renowned radio platforms like Dublab in Osaka and Los Angeles, and is a regular contributor to Fantaspoa—the International Fantastic Film Festival of Porto Alegre—where he presents live re-scorings of silent cinema classics. Driven by an ever-evolving curiosity about perception and sonic narrative, Ferreira’s practice bridges ambient, minimalism, electroacoustic experimentation, and contemporary composition.
