Tyresta

About
Tyresta is the ambient and drone project of Chicago based musician and social worker Nick Turner. Much of his musical output explores themes related to the human condition including impermanence, grief, loss, healing, and growth. He masterfully captures a sense of warmth and comfort through the beautiful compositions he creates.

As described by the artist, Tyresta was a project to seek refuge in music making; a way to cope with what was going on around him and to hopefully help others to do the same. "I am a clinical social worker/therapist so I think a lot about healing, self-care, and growth." -Nick

Tyresta made his debut appearance on Past Inside the Present with his longform album titled, 'Fallen Moon' in Summer of 2020. Most recently, PITP released his stunning and intimate album 'Small Hours' in Summer of 2023 to high acclaim. Beyond releasing music, Nick curates and runs Past Inside the Present's sibling label Fallen Moon Recordings.
